Elkwood Forest is not as dense nor as dangerous as Blackbriar Forest (to the north) but it is nor an easy place to travel through. The first one you’ll encounter is in Temple of Tyr, and Brok will explain how they work. To fast travel in God of War, you have to approach and activate one of the Mystic Gates. Listen to what Brok has to tell you he’ll let you know when full fast travel unlocks. Later on, proper fast travel between all Mystic Gates will become available. Initially, fast travel will only be able to get you to the Temple of Tyr. However, this won’t truly unlock until you push further into the game. You can freely explore the world to your heart’s content. The first way is the most obvious: going on foot / by boat. There are several ways that you can revisit areas in God of War.
